When illuminated, the result recalls hot-blown glass, with depth and irregular luminosity. When switched off, the surface becomes more mirror-like and reflects its surroundings, allowing the lamp to act as a decorative object even during the day.<\/p>\n<p>The fat cone base gives the lamp a more grounded and visually present silhouette than a very slim table base, while still keeping the clean identity of the Melt family.
